Also if you right click on the target window crosshair you can set the targets to align vertically instead of horisontally.

Yea, i was the same. Felt like a noob asking when someone else had them vertically down the left of his screen!

I can't stand having the HUD at the bottom any longer (if you right click the HUD triangle you can select "move up").

The various fleet views are stacked with local and the watch list is normally at the bottom next to the chat window.

That setup looks a lot like mine. Except that my targets expand down instead of to the left. The whole point of this setup for me was to make room for chat windows and cargohold and containers and whatnot to the left, and leave the right for targeting and combat.

I have been using the HUD up top and targets vertically along the left side of the my overview for about a month now and I have to say it is really awesome! If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend you give it a try for a week or two and see how you like it. It makes it so your mouse and eyeballs are not moving around so much, your modules, targeted ships, and overview are all in the upper right corner, so it makes it really quick to switch modules between targets and not have to look up-down-up-down (they are right next to each other instead of at opposite sides of the screen). Another cool thing with having your targets vertically aligned, it that primary target is up top, then secondary below, etc. And when the first guy dies, the ones below shift up, so the main target is always at the top (its a queue for death!)

TL:DR - Try out the HUD up top and targets vertically aligned!! You may be surprised by how awesome it is and how the default orientation is lame :P

I will take a screenshot and post it in an edit to this post when I get home today from university. It was late at night and after the eve server had crashed last night, so I didn't feel like logging in just to take a screenshot :P I'll get it up soon for you (wow that didn't sound homo at all....)

edit: here you go

Nothing fancy my self but I have alot of room to work with.

Any suggestions. I usually leave the chat window on the bottom left of the middle monitor and put targets on the top right of the middle monitor. Every thing else I kind of place it where ever.

Man that's one HUGE monitor. How long does it take you to move your mouse from one side to the other?

Heh, it takes a couple swipes because I am using an old Microsoft mouse that paint is starting to come off of it lol.

And its actually 3 monitors 26" here is the setup - http://i.imgur.com/bt412.jpg (Desk is messy =P)

That screen shot is pretty old and I have changed the layout a little. BTW I seen in some videos people stacking there weapons so its only one click to fire X amount. Wondering how I would go about doing that?
